In the Roman city of Rome, during the reign of Emperor Diocletian, four friends faced persecution for their Christian faith. Claudius, Castor, Sempronian, and Nicostrat, all stonecutters, were ordered to carve a pagan temple. They refused, declaring their allegiance to Christ. For this, they were tortured, their bodies raked with iron claws. Remaining steadfast, they were cast into the Tiber River with millstones tied to their necks, finding martyrdom in the waters.

Holy Martyrs Claudiu, Castor, Sempronian, and Nicostrat, pray to God for us and intercede for all those struggling to remain faithful!
