In a Bethlehem cave, St. John Iacob, tonsured a monk at Neamt Monastery, found solace and deeper communion with God. Leaving Romania for the Holy Land, he served at the Romanian Skete near the Jordan River and later in St. George Hozevit Monastery. His life was marked by extreme asceticism, prayer, and writing spiritual poetry. He reposed in 1960, and his relics were discovered incorrupt in 1980.
Holy #Saint John, pray that we may embrace a life of devotion and find God in every corner of our hearts. May your writings inspire us toward deeper #faith.
