On this day, we remember Saint Sava of Buzău, a Goth who stood firm in his Christian faith. In the 4th century, when Goths raided Thrace, Sava was seized. Refusing to partake in their pagan sacrifices and feasts, he declared himself a Christian. Despite threats, he remained steadfast. Mocked and tortured, he never wavered. Thrown into the Musæus River, Sava embraced martyrdom, becoming a beacon of unwavering faith.

Let us pray to Saint Sava, intercessor before God, to strengthen our resolve and guide us to emulate his courage in defending our beliefs!
