Niphon, a monk from Mount Athos, was chosen as Patriarch of Constantinople amidst turmoil. Known for his strict adherence to canon law, he fearlessly confronted Emperor Alexander for living in adultery. Niphon refused to serve the Liturgy until the Emperor repented, which led to his exile. Despite hardships, his integrity and devotion never wavered. Eventually, Niphon was called to lead Țara Românească, where he brought renewal and strengthened the faith.
May #God grant us the strength to stand firm in our beliefs as Saint Niphon did.
