Venerable Dometie lived a life of extreme humility in the monastery. Once, a great famine struck the land, and the monastery's stores were depleted. While the other monks despaired, Dometie remained steadfast in his faith. He went to the empty granary and prayed fervently for God's mercy. The next morning, the granary was miraculously overflowing with wheat. Dometie attributed this miracle to God's love and continued to serve the needy with even greater zeal.
