Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, his friend, were imprisoned for their Christian faith in the city of Singidunum (modern Belgrade). They were subjected to brutal tortures, including being suspended upside down and having their bodies scraped with iron claws. Despite the agony, Stratonic encouraged Ermil, and both remained steadfast in their faith. Ultimately, they were drowned in the river. Their unwavering commitment to Christ serves as an example of the strength found in faith. May the #MartyrsErmilAndStratonic intercede for us.
