In 1714, Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu, a ruler of Wallachia, and his four sons, Stephen, Radu, Mathew, and his advisor Ianache, were arrested by the Ottoman Turks for refusing to renounce their Christian faith and convert to Islam. After enduring torture, they were beheaded. Their unwavering #Faith and devotion to #JesusChrist made them symbols of #OrthodoxChristian resistance.
