Niphon, a humble monk, was elected Patriarch of Constantinople in the 15th century. He was known for his deep piety and wisdom, but political intrigue led to his unjust deposition. He then found refuge in Wallachia (Ţara Românească), where he became a Metropolitan and guided the faithful. Despite facing adversity, he remained steadfast in his faith, setting an example of humility and perseverance. Saint Niphon, pray for us, that we may be granted the strength to remain steadfast in the face of life's challenges.
