Saint Lup of Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, a soldier, stood firm when Emperor Diocletian demanded sacrifice to idols. After witnessing St. George's martyrdom, Lup, emboldened, shattered the idols himself. He was beaten, tortured, and eventually beheaded for his unwavering faith in Christ. Despite the suffering, Lup remained steadfast, a beacon of courage against paganism.
