Martyr Sava, a Goth serving in the Buzău region, openly confessed his Christianity during a persecution of Christians. When authorities threatened his village, Sava bravely declared, "Who says that I am not a Christian?" He refused to renounce his faith even when faced with torture. He was drowned in the river Mousaios (present-day Buzău River) in 372 AD, becoming a symbol of steadfast faith.
