During the 18th century, #VenerableVisarion boldly preached the Gospel in Transylvania, facing persecution from the Habsburg authorities who sought to force the Orthodox Romanians into union with Rome. Despite imprisonment and torture, he remained steadfast in his faith, refusing to compromise. His unwavering courage inspired many, and he became a symbol of resistance against religious oppression.
