Antim the Ivirian, a Georgian prince enslaved and brought to Constantinople, mastered languages and arts. Becoming a monk in Wallachia, his skills propelled him to Metropolitan. He championed Romanian literacy, establishing the first printing press and publishing theological works. His reforms angered local nobles, leading to false accusations of treason and exile. En route, he was murdered, a martyr for his dedication to God and his people. May his prayers guide us to use our talents for divine purpose.
