Martyr Nicander, a Roman soldier, was moved by the faith of Christians condemned to death. Witnessing their courage, he confessed Christ, converting his fellow soldier Marcian. They visited imprisoned Christians, offering comfort and aid, until they were discovered, tortured, and ultimately beheaded for their unwavering belief.
