In the town of Bethany, news came to #JesusChrist that his friend Lazarus was ill. Though he loved Lazarus and his sisters, Mary and Martha, Jesus waited two days before setting out. By the time he arrived, Lazarus had been in the tomb for four days. Martha ran to Jesus and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” Jesus assured her that Lazarus would rise again. Leading the way to the tomb, Jesus commanded, “Take away the stone.” Then, with a loud voice, he cried, “Lazarus, come forth!” And Lazarus emerged, still bound in his burial cloths.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on us!
