Saint Andrew, brother of Simon Peter, was called first by Jesus to be an Apostle. He preached the Gospel throughout Scythia, modern-day Romania, and along the Black Sea. Tradition holds he was crucified in Patras, Greece, on an X-shaped cross. He continued to preach even from the cross, converting many until his death.

Let us pray to #SaintAndrew, that through his intercessions, we may be strengthened to spread the Gospel and remain steadfast in our faith, even in the face of adversity. May we emulate his zeal for Christ and bring others to the saving knowledge of our Lord.
