Bishop Bretanion of Tomis, in the 4th century, faced Emperor Valens, an Arian, who sought to impose his heretical beliefs. When the Emperor arrived in Tomis, Bretanion, with his flock, refused to commune with the Arian Emperor. Valens, enraged, exiled Bretanion, but the people's love and near revolt forced Valens to bring him back. Bretanion boldly proclaimed the true faith, defending the Nicene Creed against imperial pressure.

Let us pray that #Bretanion's courage inspires us to stand firm in our #OrthodoxFaith, defending truth against falsehood. May his example guide us to prioritize God over worldly power. #Saints #Courage #ChristianValues
