A wealthy merchant, John traded throughout the Black Sea. In Belgorod, a Venetian merchant slandered him for his faith, leading to his arrest and torture. Offered wealth to deny Christ, John refused. He was beaten, dragged behind a horse, and finally beheaded. His body, miraculously preserved, was later enshrined in Suceava, becoming a source of miracles and a testament to unwavering faith.
