Hieromartyr #Irineu, Bishop of Sirmium, staunchly confessed his faith before Emperor Maximian, refusing to offer sacrifice to idols. Despite pleas from his family and threats of torture, he remained steadfast. Thrown into prison, he converted many by his unwavering faith. After enduring various tortures, he was ultimately beheaded.
