Bishop Leontie of Rădăuți, in 1402, during a Tatar invasion, found Rădăuți besieged and its people in terror. He led the faithful in fervent prayer within the church. As the Tatars advanced, a dense fog enveloped the city, confusing the invaders and forcing their retreat. The city was saved, attributed to Leontie's prayers and faith.
