Born in Rome, Martyr Dassie was a Roman soldier who converted to Christianity. During Emperor Maximian's persecution of Christians, Dassie refused to renounce his faith. He was arrested and subjected to various tortures, including being scourged and having his skin torn with iron hooks. Remaining steadfast, he was ultimately beheaded for his devotion to Christ. Let us pray, Holy Martyr Dassie, that through your intercessions, we too may remain firm in our faith, and that God may enlighten our path.
