Hieromartyr #Irineu, Bishop of Sirmium, fearlessly confessed Christ during the reign of Emperor Maximian. Brought before the authorities, he refused to offer pagan sacrifices and remained steadfast in his faith, even when his relatives pleaded with him to renounce Christ. Despite torture and imprisonment, Irineu converted many to Christianity, including a jailer's daughter. He was ultimately beheaded for his unwavering devotion. Oh, Irineu, pray to #God that we may have the same courage in our faith!
