Born into a wealthy family in 1568, Joseph renounced his inheritance to follow God. He became a monk at Partoș Monastery, known for his humility and piety. Ordained as Metropolitan of Timișoara, he rebuilt churches and cared for the poor. Despite his high office, he lived a simple life, dedicated to prayer and service. He peacefully passed away in 1656.
