St. Hermes, a Roman soldier, was imprisoned for his faith. Despite tortures, he remained steadfast, converting two jailers, Exuperas and Cains, and their families. Miraculously surviving poisoning and further torments, he was ultimately beheaded for refusing to renounce Christ.
