In the Roman city of Marcianopolis, during the reign of Emperor Aurelian, lived Lup, the faithful servant of Saint Demetrius. After witnessing Demetrius' martyrdom, Lup took Demetrius' ring, dipped it in his blood, and with it, healed the sick and drove out demons. He shattered pagan idols, earning the ire of the authorities. Arrested and tortured, Lup remained steadfast in his faith, confessing Christ as the true God. Despite brutal torments, he was ultimately beheaded, joining his master in eternal glory.
