Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a prison guard, were martyred for their faith. Ermil openly confessed his belief in Christ, leading to imprisonment. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, was moved by Ermil's faith and openly wept. Accused of being Christian too, both refused to renounce Christ, enduring severe torture. They were eventually drowned in the Danube River. May their courage inspire us!
