In the year 372, during a time of persecution against Christians, #SaintSava openly confessed his faith. He refused to partake in pagan rituals and denounce Christ, declaring, "He is my God, and I will not deny Him." For his unwavering faith, he was drowned in the river Mousaios (now Buzău).
