In the third century, during Emperor Diocletian's reign, Donat, a reader, and Venust, a monk, were arrested for their unwavering #Faith. Ordered to renounce Christ and offer sacrifices to idols, they refused. Donat, undeterred by threats, declared his allegiance to God. After brutal torture, including beatings and lacerations, they remained steadfast. Thrown into a fire, they emerged unharmed, their clothes untouched. Astonished, many pagans converted to Christianity. Finally, they were beheaded, receiving their crowns of martyrdom.

Holy Martyrs Donat and Venust, pray to God for us to remain as steadfast as you. #Saints #OrthodoxChristian #Prayer #Martyrdom
