In 1949, as the communists sought to suppress faith, Fr. Visarion bravely defended #Orthodoxy. Arrested and tortured for his beliefs, he refused to renounce #Christ. He endured immense suffering, remaining steadfast in prayer and faith. His martyrdom inspired many to resist the atheistic regime.
