Priest Ilarion Felea, a beacon of faith during Romania's darkest hour, stood firm against communist oppression. In 1959, he was arrested for refusing to denounce his faith and subjected to brutal interrogations and torture. Despite immense suffering, he never wavered, comforting his fellow prisoners and continuing to celebrate the Divine Liturgy in secret. He died in prison in 1961, a martyr for Christ.
