Saint Joseph the New of Partoș was known for his unwavering faith and pastoral care. During his time as Metropolitan of Timișoara, the region faced hardship and threats. Despite persecution, he stood firm in his faith, strengthening the Orthodox believers and always serving the poor and vulnerable. He was a beacon of hope and a defender of Orthodoxy. He was called to lead the people during difficult times. His love for God and his flock was evident in his every action. He reposed in 1656.
