Martyr John the Valah, a Romanian youth, was captured by Tatars and sold to a Muslim master who tried to convert him. John steadfastly refused, clinging to his #Christian faith. Despite brutal tortures and seductive promises, he wouldn't denounce Christ. Finally, he was beheaded for his unyielding devotion.
