Saint John the Valah, a Romanian Orthodox martyr, was a humble tailor in the 16th century Ottoman Empire. Despite facing immense pressure to convert to Islam, John remained steadfast in his Christian faith. He fearlessly proclaimed his belief in Jesus Christ, even in the face of torture and threats of death. Refusing to renounce his faith, he was ultimately beheaded for Christ.
