Martyr Lup, a soldier in the Roman army, witnessed the brutal persecution of Christians. Refusing to deny his faith, he openly confessed Christ. Enraged, the authorities subjected him to horrific tortures, including being stretched on the rack and having his flesh torn with iron hooks. Through it all, Lup remained steadfast. Finally, he was beheaded for his unwavering belief. Saint Lup, pray for us, that we may be strong in our faith, too. Help us to overcome our fears and follow Jesus' teachings. Amen.
