Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith in Singidunum (Belgrade) during Licinius' reign. Ermil openly professed Christianity and was tortured. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering, revealing his faith. Both were then tortured and ultimately drowned in the Danube River.

Lord, through their prayers, strengthen our resolve to stand firm in faith, even in adversity. May their courage inspire us to live boldly for You.
