Martyr John the Valah, a young Romanian serving in the Ottoman army, refused to convert to Islam despite immense pressure. His unwavering faith infuriated the Turks, who subjected him to brutal tortures, including beatings and burning. Yet, John remained steadfast, declaring his allegiance to Christ until his martyrdom on May 12, 1662, in Constantinople. May his sacrifice inspire us to stand firm in our #Faith. Let us pray for his intercession, that we may emulate his courage in the face of adversity and remain true to our #Christian beliefs. #Saints #OrthodoxChristian #Martyr #Prayer
