Joseph, born into a wealthy family, renounced his inheritance to become a monk at Partoş Monastery. Known for his ascetic life and deep empathy, he was later chosen as Metropolitan of Timişoara. During a severe drought, he led the faithful in fervent prayer, and a life-giving rain quenched the parched land, saving the region from famine.
