John Cassian, a 4th-century monk and theologian, is revered for his influential writings on monasticism. Once, while traveling, he and his companion Germanus encountered a pagan priest. The priest, impressed by their piety, challenged them to a theological debate. Cassian, with wisdom and humility, engaged the priest, eventually leading him to embrace #Christianity. Cassian's gentleness and deep knowledge converted the priest. We pray to Saint John Cassian the Romanian, that he may intercede with God for us, guiding us toward faith and wisdom.
