On fire with zeal for Christ, Visarion left his village and monastic life to defend Orthodoxy against the pressures of Uniatism. Arrested, imprisoned, and tortured for refusing to renounce his faith, he remained steadfast, enduring immense suffering with patience and prayer. Even when faced with threats of death, he proclaimed the truth of the Orthodox faith. He died in chains, a martyr for the true Church, sealing his witness with his blood.
