A Roman soldier, #Martyr Dassie refused to participate in the pagan festival of Saturnalia, denouncing its immorality before his regiment. He was ordered to perform sacrifices to the idols, but he staunchly refused, declaring his allegiance to Christ. Imprisoned and tortured, Dassie remained steadfast in his faith, choosing death over apostasy. On January 20, 304 AD, he was beheaded.
