During World War I, amidst the chaos of battle, #Priest John of Galeş fearlessly moved among wounded soldiers on the front lines. He offered not only spiritual solace through confession and communion but also practical aid, bandaging wounds and comforting the dying. Once, under heavy fire, he crawled to a severely injured soldier, administering last rites. As he finished, a shell exploded nearby. Miraculously, both survived unscathed.
