Hermes, once a high-ranking official, fearlessly confessed his faith during a time of persecution. Imprisoned and tortured for refusing to renounce Christ and offer sacrifices to idols, he remained steadfast. Miraculously healed after severe torments, he converted the jailers and many onlookers through his unwavering faith and the power of God's grace. He was eventually beheaded for his beliefs, thus earning the crown of martyrdom.
