Venerable Daniel the Hermit, in his youth, entered a monastery but sought greater solitude. He retreated to a more remote cell, and later, with the blessing of his abbot, he lived as a hermit in the wilderness. He dwelled in a cave, fasting and praying.

One day, a young man named Stephen, driven by despair, sought Daniel's counsel. Daniel, filled with divine wisdom, guided Stephen back to faith and repentance. Stephen eventually became Stephen the Great, Prince of Moldavia, who revered Daniel as his spiritual father and often sought his advice in ruling the land justly. Daniel's prayers and guidance were instrumental in Stephen's victories and wise governance.

Let us pray to #Saint Daniel to intercede for us, that we may find the path of repentance and wisdom, and that God may guide our leaders to rule with justice and compassion.
