Born in the 8th century, #VenerableGregoryTheDecapolit was a staunch defender of icons during the Iconoclast controversy. His unwavering faith led him to be repeatedly tortured and exiled for his beliefs. Gregory traveled extensively, preaching and teaching, and despite facing immense persecution, he remained steadfast. He even convinced Emperor Leo V to end the persecution of iconophiles. His life is a testament to courage and unwavering faith.
