Priest Martyr Ilarion Felea, a beacon of faith during Romania's tumultuous years under communist rule, stood firm against the tide of oppression. In 1959, he was arrested for his unwavering commitment to the Church. Enduring torture and interrogation, he refused to renounce his beliefs or denounce his fellow clergy. His last act of defiance was during interrogation when he prayed aloud. This infuriated his captors, who beat him mercilessly, leading to his death in prison.
