Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a prison guard, were martyred for their Christian faith. Ermil openly confessed Christ during persecution, enduring severe torture. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering, revealing his faith. Both were condemned; Stratonic was drowned in the Danube, following Ermil's beheading.
