In the Roman city of Rome, during the reign of Emperor Diocletian, these four faithful friends – Claudiu, Castor, Sempronian, and Nicostrat – were stonecutters. They refused to carve statues of pagan gods, confessing their Christian faith. Despite torture, they remained steadfast. Ultimately, they were condemned to death by drowning. Their courage inspires us to stand firm in our beliefs, even in the face of adversity. O Holy Martyrs Claudiu, Castor, Sempronian, and Nicostrat, pray to God for us, that we may also be found worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven!
