During the reign of Emperor Maximian, Saint Emilian of Durostorum was a soldier. When ordered to offer sacrifice to idols, he refused. Brought before the governor, he confessed his Christian faith, boldly proclaiming Christ as the one true God. Despite brutal torture, he remained steadfast. He was finally burned alive. His relics are venerated for their miraculous power. Saint Emilian, pray for us, that we too may remain firm in our faith and witness to Christ, even in the face of adversity. May his intercessions guide us and protect us.
