Peter Mogila, a beacon of faith and learning!

In a time of great religious tension, Peter Mogila, Metropolitan of Kiev, faced a daunting task: to defend and revitalize Orthodox education. Witnessing the decline in theological understanding, he established the Collegium in Kiev, later the Kiev Mohyla Academy. This institution became a cornerstone of Orthodox scholarship, nurturing generations of theologians, thinkers, and leaders, thus preserving the Orthodox faith against external pressures. Through education, Mogila sought to fortify the spiritual foundations of his people.
