Venerable Nicodim of Tismana, a 14th-century monk, established Tismana Monastery in Romania after a divine vision. He tirelessly worked to build and adorn the monastery, making it a beacon of faith and a center for spiritual learning. Despite facing numerous hardships and temptations from enemies of the faith, Nicodim remained steadfast, performing miracles and healing the sick through his unwavering devotion. He translated religious texts into Romanian, enriching the spiritual lives of the local people.
