On this day, we remember Saint Priest Martyr Alexandru of Basarabia, a beacon of faith during turbulent times. Arrested in 1918 for his steadfast commitment to his Romanian identity and Orthodox beliefs, he endured imprisonment and torture with unwavering resolve. When pressured to renounce his principles, he stood firm, declaring his unbreakable bond with his nation and faith. He was martyred for refusing to abandon his flock and his heritage.
